Patterns ("Company") values your privacy and complies with applicable laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea.

This policy applies to the website (https://patterns.works) and the Pattern mobile app ("App") operated by the Company.

Pattern is an English learning app used without sign-up or login. Your progress is linked by a device identifier generated by the app, not by email or phone number.

When you use the app, the following information may be collected and stored:

• Device identifier, language, and time zone — to manage progress, usage limits, and subscription status

• Quiz and learning records — answers, results, progress, and statistics

• Subscription information — to provide paid features (processed via app stores and subscription services)

• App preferences — such as theme and sound settings (stored on your device and may not be sent to our servers)

• Feedback — messages you submit, plus app version and device information (contact details you include are stored as well)

The Company does not directly collect personal information through sign-up forms, contact forms, or newsletters on the website.

However, access logs, IP address, browser and OS information, and access time may be automatically generated during hosting.

If you contact us at [email protected], any name, contact details, or message content is provided voluntarily by you.

The Company does not collect the following by design:

• Sign-up email, password, or social login credentials

• Location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or similar device access

• Legal name, date of birth, or payment card details (in-app purchases are handled by Apple, Google, and other stores)

• Advertising or behavioral tracking tools

• Providing quiz and learning services and saving progress

• Delivering learning statistics, streaks, and related user experience

• Providing and managing subscriptions and paid features

• Receiving feedback and customer support

• Operating and securing the website and responding to inquiries

Collected information is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above.

App learning data is kept while the service is provided. If you reset your progress or start fresh, the link to prior data may be removed.

Feedback and subscription-related records may be retained separately as required by law or for operational needs.

Website access logs are deleted without delay after the purpose is fulfilled. Email inquiries are retained for 3 years after handling, then deleted.

The Company does not provide personal information to third parties in principle, except with your prior consent or when required by law.

The Company may entrust or integrate with the following for service operation:

• Cloud and database services — storing app learning data

• RevenueCat — subscription status management

• Apple / Google — app distribution and in-app purchases

• Cloudflare — website hosting and security

You may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of your personal information at any time.

Please contact us via in-app feedback or at [email protected], and the Company will take necessary action without undue delay.

The Company does not collect sensitive information such as health, political, or religious data by design.

Content you voluntarily provide in feedback or similar channels is handled accordingly.

The app does not include a separate age verification process.
